Nurse Assisting (CNA)

Instruction, lab practice, lab simulation, job shadowing and clinical experiences are integral parts of the program. Students receive preparation for the NYS certification examination and to enter the health field as a Certified Nurse Assistant. CNAs are an integral part of the medical team. CNAs have direct contact with patients/ clients and families and deliver personal care to clients who need assistance. Students will learn basic principles and skills required to care for clients as a certified nurse assistant.
