The swiftly changing livestock industry offers a variety of careers for the individual interested in large animal production. This program offers basic and advanced skills in areas such as nutrition, animal husbandry, anatomy and physiology of animals and practical skills such as handling and restraint, clinical laboratory skills and medical terminology. Traditional instruction and experiential learning enhance the young professionals’ learning experience. Upon completion of the program, young professionals can continue to a career or choose to enroll in post-secondary education to earn a degree in an animal-related field.
