This technical training program uses a experiential approach to gaining marketable skills in the general industry of construction. Utilizing tools and materials found in the trade, young professionals will learn about carpentry, electrical, masonry, and plumbing. Emphasis is on the framing of a house using a “whole house” performance based approach, utilizing the most up-to-date practices in regard to health, safety and a green tomorrow. Curriculum components include new green energy building and testing standards. The knowledge and skills learned will enable the young professional to gain employment and advance quickly in the construction industry at the same time.
